During my time I've been both a student and a teacher. I don't profess to be an expert, merely an intense observer. This web site is a new medium for me, so please forgive the clumsiness. I plan to offer my insight on things that I've experienced through trial and error, in my opinion the most effective method available. Everyone learns differently so my hopes are that you take the information here and expand on it in your own way.
Finding the right words to describe something intangible can be tedious at best. In my journey I've discovered there are far more adjectives in life than nouns. People to me are a lot like words. Some are born to be prepositions, others are conjunctions or adverbs. I think the magic of life is learning what your definition is and excelling at it. Besides, theres something to be said for becoming the best pronoun you can be.
Over time I've tried on many definitions. Some fit better than others, but I've realized I can make most of them work in some small way. Within these pages you will find a few stones from my path. If they entertain or enlighten you thats great. If nothing else maybe they will bring you closer to finding your definition. If you open your mind you can glean something from every experience. You may not learn what you expected to, but spotting the wrong path can lead you down the right one.
Sometimes life throws curve balls. Striking out happens. Only the lucky few have a stellar batting average. The rest of us have to keep swinging. My path around the bases has been an interesting one. Along the way I've met the usual cast of characters and some unusual ones too.
I'm an Air Force brat. Those with a military background understand this better than most. I can walk into any room and join the conversation. I rarely meet a stranger. I've spent countless hours on stage and off. That background also makes me treasure time by myself. That's the reason I enjoy nature photography. Wide open spaces and rolling green fairways seem to call to me. Don't get me wrong, I still love crowds, but I need some down time to decompress.
As you can see by the info tabs I'm covering several different topics here. I stumbled across the name Conventional Current one day when I was rolling tubes in my guitar rig. The name seems a bit of an oxymoron seeing that I'm rather unconventional and tend to dwell in the echos of time, but I've found harmony there.
Lots of people chart out their lives and know just when to make changes. I tend to stumble through it. If I had to do it over again I think I would have gone the more conventional route. That being said my journey has been a blast. I've shared time with Edward Van Halen, Harry Carson, Retief Goosen, and Flavor Flav just to name a few. I've been to places like Scotland, Germany, Mexico, and all over the U.S. There are stories to be told and lessons to be learned from them. For better or worse I've come out on the other side a better person for it. I'm still in the middle of life and still stumbling along so the lessons and stories are still accumulating. Thanks for sharing a few stones from my path.
By the way. In vocabulary terms, I've found that I make a great inflection....
Welcome to my world.
Come see whats inside...
